The CBG is one of the most exciting and adventurous bands from Amsterdam.
This powerful group moves beautifully between the composed and improvised parts.
Their music blends many different styles, traveling throughout improvised music, rock, jazz, folk, and contemporary music; outlining a truly new energetic postmodern style.
‘A great album! ’ - about their 3rd CD - All About Jazz (Italy) ‘It is a true pleasure to follow their improvisations’ Culture jazz (France)
‘... The musical contribution and virtuosity of the musicians blends in a refined and harmonious way’ Het Parool (Netherlands)

Nothing Changes
is their last production, out since September 2008 through the dutch
underground label Trytone.
Based on the same band as on "Simple songs", with Michael
Moore on reeds and Sven Schuster on bass but with the participation of
the Spanish tenor sax Gorka
Benitez, this material brings a very mature rich sound, with clear
references to political and personal inquietudes, embedded by the
influence of the European underground new music.
Their 1st CD production Figuras
has been released in December 2005 through BAU records (Buenos Aires
Underground).
In this project, they have collaborated with M Koemker and R
Rijers on bass and Natalio Sued on saxophone, a remarkable Argentinean
player who’s nowadays living in Europe.
As a consequence of this “home land” collaboration, this CD
has a distinctive sound colored by tango and South American folk
reminiscences.
The 2nd CD Simple
Songs (2006 MDR records), is a collaboration with the Saxophonist Michael Moore
and the participation of Sven Shuster on Double Bass.
Open to the winds of the whole American continent, with the
strong influence of this north American sax player, this Cd brings a
bunch of original “simple songs” to play and enjoy.A music dancing
across the borders.
